![]() So far I have not been able to find any other references to an all wood Bettoney Piccolo searching the net, and am hoping that someone here with and interest in older instruments can give me some background on this one. One of these is a Bettoney Piccolo, serial 24xx, (entirely wood - presumably Ebony - not with a silver head joint as most seem to have). I would appreciate any help with this, thanks!Years ago I 'messed around' on flute, but it has never been my main instrument (mostly I play horns these days) and I am finally bringing myself to part with the instruments I don't play or practice. It is in great condition, still sounds beautiful and also has a hard case in great condition. It has a gold lip mouth piece and the extended foot. Artmstrong that I bought brand new in 1987. Problem is I have no idea how much it is worth, so I have no idea how much to list it for? Is there a website to find values ( like with used cars)? I have decided that its time to let go of my flute and hopefully sell it to someone who will use it. Last two digits '47' stamped into the bottom of the keys (S5047).Hi everyone! The last two digits of the serial number are stamped into the bottom of the keys. The serial number is marked near the top of the body just below the barrel tenon, and rarely at the bottom of the body just above the bell seam. There are a few of it's pads that will need to be changed. The ends of this Flute have silver end caps. It comes complete with it's Original Cleaning Rod, and the key for it's Case. Here is a Cundy-Bettoney Model 100 Flute in it's Original Case. The log book shows the serial numbers jumping around quite a bit for the Selmer/Adolphe Sax saxophones. Instruments manufactured after 1936 range in serial number from 1350-3600. I like vintage horns, probably no value but any info would be appreciated! Complete with case, all there no broken pieces Thanks in advance!! Yamaha flute serial number lookup, The record is much less complete after 1936. I have a chance to pick up a Cundy Bettoney wood flute #1485.1920's best I can tell. The case is separated, The fabric that connects the two pieces needs. It has been tested and definitely is sterling. Other than the patent date and the year and the serial number I cannot find any other markings. The serial number is the same on all three pieces. I believe this is a Bettoney or Haynes flute. ![]()
